A show with eclectic mix of tunes gathered from Andrew’s current impressions. Expect Beatles, Regina Spektor, Steve Howe, some local music from NRWO and also a track from Leeds-based band, Green Gardens and their wonderful album, Thistle Sifting.
Andrew’s guest this week is Jack Jennings – a guitarist linking rock roots with Indian Classical music (Imagine Jimi Hendrix walking in the footsteps of Ravi Shankar). Also tracks from Geese, Florence & the Machine and Yusuf/Cat Stevens.
A show with a lot of 80s music, largely due to the choices of my guest, Keith Horler. Keith talks about his work as a Somerset-based singer-songwriter including his Radstock roots. Expect, The Jam, Tears for Fears, Howard Jones, The Specials and Orange Juice.
After a weekend of fantastic live music across the town, Andrew is joined by Blair Keltie, currently performing with The Sylvertones, but with much more musical involvement to talk about. Andrew plays tracks by Talk in Code, Fly Yeti Fly and Jimi Hendrix as well as new releases from Ronboy/Matt Berninger and Run the Enemy.
Joining Andrew on this show are duo Sian and Rob Colquhoun. They perform live in the studio as well as choosing the tracks which influenced their music.
Andrew is joined by Claire Hopkins, singer-songwriter with Trowbridge-based band, Be Like Will. Claire plays one of her own songs live in the studio.
Andrew is joined in the studio by Frome-based singer and multi-instrumentalist, Helen Robertson.
Singer and artist Jacqueline Byrne joins Andrew in the studio to talk about her work in both fields, performing with husband, Felix, and working in her gallery at the Tithe Barn Workshops, Bradford on Avon.
Singer-songwriter, guitarist, bagpiper, Ruby Darbyshire, joins Andrew to talk about her impressive gig list and to play an upcoming single release live in the studio.
Guitarist and songwriter, Alex Maidment, joins Andrew on this show to discuss his guitar playing, adventures with dogs in Turkiye, and his impending enrolment at BIMM in Manchester.
