Singer-songwriter, Jess Chivers, joins Andrew in the studio and talks about her wide-ranging musical enthusiasms,, the Irish music scene and the inspirational sources behind her own songwriting.

This week I talk with Paul Hammond, singer/guitarist with BoA bands, Fungus Licks and The Karport Collective. Paul is an active contributor to the local live music scene, not only as a player, but also by bringing his professional design skills to the BoA Live Music Festival.

Andrew is joined tonight by Devizes-based singer songwriter, Josh Oldfield. Josh’s musical journey takes us from first his first guitar, into metal, via work as a chef, to folk and juke joint throwout (yes it’s a thing!) with a couple of Josh’s own recently released songs.

This week I’m joined on the show by Neil Brewer, drummer with local band, Be Like Will. We talk about the band and how Neil became the drummer. I also play a rare track featuring Peter Gabriel on backing vocals.

My guest on this show is Adam from the Wiltshire Music Centre. In a break with tradition, he brings some classical music as his tracks of a lifetime, together with some encyclopaedic back stories!

This show includes an interview with Trowbridge live music promoter, Kieran J Moore. Topics include the Trowbridge Festival, The Jam, not watching The Brit Awards, and ‘knit-your-own-breakfast’ folk music!

This week Andrew has scoured his record collection for country tracks to play with singer-songwriter, Becky Lawrence, who brings her tracks of a lifetime, and one of her own recordings, into the studio.

This week’s song selection includes Radiohead, Gracie Abrams and The Wombats, as well as the selections of guest, Danny Green aka DG Solaris (don’t ask!). Danny’s latest release is also included, which is a truly beautiful song.

Guest, Sharon McRobbie is a landlady with a mission: To create a vibrant live music-filled canal-side pub in Bradford on Avon. She shares the track which she plays to motivate herself and her staff before ‘service’ is called. We also discuss social interaction and non-alcoholic drinks.
