A show dedicated to the original music produced by the acts across the local music scene. The composers of many of the songs featured have been guests on the show during 2024, so New Year’s Eve seems a good time to reflect on the talents on our doorstep.

Pro-percussionist, Ken Dewar, joins Andrew in the studio to discuss influences, rhythms and favourite sounds. You’ll hear Ken playing with Siouxsie Sioux and listen to a band with the most absurd song title (as well as band name!).

This week Andrew and special guest, Toby McLaren, listen to Charles Mingus, The Beach Boys, some music from Niger by M’dou Moctar and a Bob Dylan track from the ‘Live at Budokan album. We also chat about coffee.
